Artist David Adey using carefully cut fragments of printed skin from the photographs of celebrities in magazines creates elaborate pinned collages. In some instances he reconstructs the original photos using component pieces cut into myriad geometric shapes and symbols, each placed perfectly on the canvas with a single pin. Another project called Swarm, it’s a giant whirling textures, and this process can take up to 200-300 hours. Adley currently has a show at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

This this incredible installation is created by London-based artist Zadok Ben David created. It was using 12,000 cut steel botanical specimens modeled from old textbook illustrations, each embedded in a thin layer of sand. A version of Blackfield is display at Artclub 1563 in Seoul through February 2012.
