Mozilla not only produce browser only, they produce movies with popcorn.
People are imagine the interactive TV for quite long time.
Twenty years ago in Silicon Valley, internet was there but web browser is not.
A batch of start up company try to create the standard of interactive TV.
But the invention of web and browser changed the whole path. People think that will be the future of the TV, with multimedia in browser box. All those start up company failed but web is up.
Now, with youtube/vimeo, with google map and the LBS thing, and with html5, everything is ready.
Mozilla did not forgot the interactive TV. They come out with the project named popcorn.
What can you learn from popcorn? Sure, the movie time.
In overall, popcorn is a JavaScript multimedia library, which allow you create multimedia works in modern browser.
Image that you’re the movie producer, now with the new tool, you bring lots of new idea from Internet to you movie project. People can real time communication when the video playing, looking for reference on the web, chat, and helight the subtitles.
