Luigi Prina is 83 years old now, he told us some stories about his building life. When he was 16 years old, he won a national aircraft modeling competition, he went to collect the prize, then the organizers asked him, “Why didn’t you father come to collect his prize?” Then Prina said “What do you mean my father, I am Luigi Prina!” 50 years later, Prina met a Venetian painter and boat builder Eugenio Tomiolo and made the first flying boat in his studio that had sky and clouds painted on the ceiling, seemed that clouds were moving.
“Waanders In de Broeren” opened for the general public on 13th July, 2013. This is a 15th century Dominican church in Zwolle, The Netherlands. Architects BK. Architecten were tasked this project, with keeping all the historical elements of the building, this 15th century Dominican church was converted into a modern bookstore and a 700 square meters shopping space. If you like there and you are in Zwolle now, you should visit this amazing place.
Provo City Center Temple is a nearly seven-million-pound exterior of a 112-year-old building that was severely damaged in a 2010 fire in Provo, Utah. Now Engineers let it standing on 40-foot-high steel stilts that looks like floating above ground.
This series of geometric projection is created by Swiss artist Felice Varini. This time Felice’s work at the Grand Palais in Paris, watch the video below, you can see how he works with projectors and stencils to create his artwork that only appears from a specific viewpoint.
I would love to introduce this lovely town, near Ronda, Málaga in Spain. It was painted in blue in 2011 for the Smurfs Movie. Citizens voted keep these lovely and romantic blue. If you are planning a trip and you have no idea where you wanna go, maybe there is a good idea:-)
